Foxtel customers left frustrated at Game of Thrones ‘problems’ during series premiere
If you were excited and couldn’t wait to watch the first episode of the seventh season of Game of Thrones on Foxtel, but can’t seem to access it, you’re not alone.
In a Facebook post, Foxtel informed their followers they were “experiencing problems” due to the unprecedented demand for their online and on demand services.
“We are devastated that due to unprecedented demand, we are experiencing problems with our online services this evening,” the post said.
“Obviously this comes at a time when so many of our customers are wanting to watch the first episode of season 7 of Game of Thrones.”
Foxtel confirmed they were experiencing problems after an outpour of social media backlash.
One user commented on the page’s pervious post telling fans to “catch the ENCOURE screening at 8:30pm est,”
“I would love to but Foxtel is down and I can’t login. App on the iPad and Telstra TV app both aren’t working and can’t login on your website. Hopefully it’s fixed soon!” the comment said.
@Foxtel are you for real? Have you tried using your own app? frustrating to the core- it never logs me in – shame #foxtelnow

Many customers have called for a refund from the paid television company.
Foxtel ensured the user and “everyone else experiencing problems” that they were doing everything they could to resolve the problem.
“We can confirm there is an outage at the moment for our online services (Foxtel Now, Play, and the Foxtel App). Our Online team are on the case investigating the issue and are working to have it resolved as soon as possible. The Long Night is here but hopefully it won’t be much longer.”
Foxtel has apologised for the frustration this situation has caused Game of Throne fans.
