CHRIS Hemsworth and Matt Damon have taken a sea change from their usual Byron Bay hangout, spotted on a luxury holiday in Spain with their families.

The Hollywood blockbuster duo, who have regularly been spotted out and about in northern NSW over the past year, were snapped lapping it up on a boat in San Sebastian with their wives Elsa Pataky and Luciana Barroso, as well as their children.

They all appeared to be having a ball as they dived off the boat and frolicked in the water, while also working on their sun tans on the deck.

Damon, 47, has just moved back to the US after four months of living up the road from Hemsworth, 34, who lives in a stunning multimillion-dollar retreat in Byron Bay.

The families are holidaying in Europe as part of celebrations for Elsa’s 42nd birthday, which she celebrated on Wednesday, Hemsworth taking some time off from filming his latest movie Men in Black 4 in London.

Elsa looked stunning in a paisley kaftan and maroon bikini, while Luciana, 42, also showed off her taut figure in a navy bikini.

Hemsworth and his wife of eight years have three young children together, India Rose, six, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, four, while the Damons have Isabella, 11, Gia, nine, Stella, six, and Luciana’s daughter from a previous relationship Alexia, 18.

It’s not the first international holiday the families have embarked on.

The couples travelled to Monaco for the Formula One Grand Prix last year, and the Damons have made the long haul to Australia several times before their long stint this year.

But their friendship goes back a few years, when in 2014 Hemsworth praised Damon in an interview with GQ.

“We became friends around the time I started to work, and I’ve really benefited from watching how he handles himself,” Hemsworth said at the time.

“Matt’s just a normal guy who has the movie-star thing figured out.”

And when the Aussie hunk won People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, he gave credit to his bro.

“I learned everything there is about being sexy from Matt,” Hemsworth said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2014.
