Peakhurst crash: Two women dead, man arrested after two-car smash
Emergency services rushed to Henry Lawson Drive in Peakhurst last night after reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Arriving at the horror scene, emergency services found a red Toyota LandCruiser flipped on its roof and a Honda Sedan with its front crushed.
Paramedics worked to save the female driver of the sedan, a 66-year-old woman, and her female passenger, a 62-year-old woman, but they died at the scene.
Members of the public worked with emergency services to free the two women, who were critical when paramedics arrived, but despite everyone’s best efforts, they were unable to be saved.
The two people sitting in the back seat, a 62-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man, were rushed to St George Hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

He remains under police guard at St George Hospital.
