Bryce Harper wife Kayla’s savage response to Instagram slider
This is one DM Bryce Harper’s wife will certainly never forget.
Taking to social media, Kayla Harper, who recently announced she and the Phillies’ $330 million man are expecting their first child together, revealed she received a note from one of her husband’s admirers, who accidentally slid into her private messages.
“Hey handsome I’m Jordan I’m just trying to be ya stress reliever,” the original message read, along with a photo of a woman.
Kayla then replied with a few choice words of her own (via SportsGossip.com): “If you’re going to try & go after a married man the least you could do is be smart enough to message his Instagram account and not his wife’s.”
She later added: “@BryceHarper3 are you feeling stressed? I have your solution.”
Bryce Harper signed a 13-year, $330 million ($AU470m) deal with the Phillies in the off-season.
He’s hitting .233 with six homers, a National League-leading 25 walks and an .841 OPS in 33 games.
The Harpers announced in April they are expecting their first child.
Harper’s contract was the largest contract in baseball history.
Harper’s agent, Scott Boras, said the deal was agreed to shortly before noon, subject to a successful physical. “If the reports are true, it’s a huge moment for our baseball team,” Kapler said.
“Certainly I think that the city of Philadelphia would embrace Bryce Harper. I think he would be very happy in this city because our fans care deeply about winning.”
A 26-year-old All-Star who had spent his entire big league career with the Washington Nationals, Harper topped the $325 million, 13-year agreement outfielder Giancarlo Stanton reached before the 2015 season with the Miami Marlins.
Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Bryce Harper was greeted by a chorus of boos and jeers on his first visit back to the Washington Nationals on Tuesday, April 2. Harper, 26, signed a 13-year deal in February with the Phillies, worth $330 million. He made his league debut for the Nationals in 2012. Despite the hostile reception, Harper had the last laugh, clocking up three RBIs, and rounding off with a monster home run. Credit: Gavin W Lichtenstein via Storyful
