MTR services to end at 10pm this weekend

The MTR said on Saturday it would limit its services this weekend.

It said services will end at 10pm on Saturday and Sunday because of the perceived higher risk of vandalism.

It warned that it may decide to curtail services further.

The MTR has been a frequent target of protesters, who have set fires and damaged machines at MTR stations, forcing it to limit services in recent months.

The railway company said the Airport Express would operate as normal between Hong Kong, Kowloon, Tsing Yi, Airport and AsiaWorld-Expo stations.

In town check in services at Hong Kong and Kowloon stations will also operate as normal.
