Georra oceanfront home offering chance to call Guy Sebastian and Sally Fitzgibbons neighbours
Buyers eyeing off real estate on the Gerroa headland finally have something to cheer about with 152 Headland Dr for sale.
The four-bedroom oceanfront property is one of two houses in all of Georra for sale at the moment, and the first to come up on the headland since 98 Stafford St in September.
CoreLogic records show that only three properties have traded on the entire Gerroa Headland in the past three years.
First National Coast & Country’s Ryan Stalgis who is hoping to get at least $2 million for 152 Headland Dr said buyers who have been waiting for something to come up on the headland need to act quick.
“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity as it could be another 10 years before an oceanfront property does come up again,” he said.
Since coming up for sale in the past 48 hours, Mr Stalgis has been inundated with calls from a mix of buyers.
“Most are coming from Sydney and are looking for a weekender, and we have also had a few locals,” he said.
The successful buyer will be in good company, with singer Guy Sebastian and surfer Sally Fitzgibbons both owning property on the headland.
One of just a handful of properties on Headland Dr’s waterfront reserve, the property is also perfectly positioned to take advantage of the northerly sun and whale migration in the winter months.
“Some owners have reported seeing as many as 30 whales over the course of a day,” Mr Stalgis said.
With 267sqm of internal space, the property has a two-car garage, study, rumpus room and two ocean-facing decks.
The new owner also has the option to swim, surf, snorkel and fish from a small secluded beach that backs directly onto the property.
Mr Stalgis said while the house is ready to move in, he expects that whoever is the buyer will probably look to modernise it at some point in the future.
Other features include an outdoor kitchen, wooden finishes, a large kitchen with gas cooking, built-in wardrobes and a workshop.
Mr Stalgis said prices have started to grow in Georra as the property market continues to recover.
“There is always little stock here and a lot of demand, so prices always remain strong, but everything is getting overwhelming interest in recent times,” he said.
The property is set to go to auction on February 22.
